Who is a leader?

In the animal kingdom, the strongest male is the leader. Look at the gorillas.

I guess when history began, the same was true about mankind. Look at Genghis Khan, Charlemagne, Hannibal Barca. People looked to men who could promise military security and economic wealth for their tribe or clan.

Television seemed to have changed all that. When JFK and Nixon appeared on TV before the presidential elections, JFK went on to win the presidential race because he appeared more charismatic and handsome than Nixon.

Put all these leaders together, side by side, with a full-grown silverback. I wonder who will be the leader then. ;p
